Kyuma exits over A-bomb gaffe

Defense Minister Fumio Kyuma handed in his resignation to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
I also harbor resentment toward his improper speech. A-bomb victim think even more so. In addition, he didnot achieve accountability about this problem and resigned . I think Abe's posting responsibility is heavy.

Shibuya spa blast kills three women

Three women were killed and at least three other people were injured Tuesday in an explosion at an annex of a women-only spa facility. 90% of hot spring institutions in Tokyo did not perform safety measures about natural gas. Tokyo start investigation from today.
Why did not Tokyo take measures while there was such a case in the past? Prevention of recurrence of such a case is expected

Nova dealt penalty for deception

Nova, the nation's largest English-language school chain, was ordered by the government to partially suspend business for six months for lying to customers about its services.
I think it is hard to allow Nova neglects substantiality of service and go to profit pursuit. I heard the bad rumor of Nova from the past. It was proved that the rumor was a fact by this case.

Fertility rate up but population still shrinking

Hakuho reaches sumo's summit

Hakuho officially became the 69th grand champion in sumo history after the Japan Sumo Association finalized the promotion of Hakuho at its executive committee meeting.
In late years sumo popularity shows decline. It is because only one sumo wrestler, Asashouryu, always wins, and race-fixing scandal spouted out. I think his power is necessary to enliven the sumo that is the Japanese national sport again.

Mourners bid Matsuoka farewell

Toshikatsu Matsuoka was held Wednesday at a temple in Kumamoto, two days after he committed suicide in Tokyo. In 2006, Matsuoka was given his first Cabinet post, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Minister when Shinzo Abe became prime minister. But he soon came under fire for political funding irregularities and was asked to resign by opposition lawmakers.
I think it is not allowed to have committed suicide without his achieving accountability. It is only a mere escape and will show that doubt turned to him was true.

Ex-gangster shoots four in Aichi, takes hostage

A former gangster was holding a woman hostage in a house in Nagakute, Aichi Prefecture.
The woman hostage is a ex-wife of the gunman. One police man was shot and died. The gunman still shuts himself up.
Nagakute is the town where I have ever lived in. I feel sad that such a case happened in the town.

Japan rated tops for innovation

Japan is the world's most innovative nation, according to a recent study by the business information arm of the Economist magazine. In this case, innovation means "the application of knowledge in a novel way, primarily for economic benefit" .
I think Japan still managed to top the list. In the future, other countries gain power. For example, India and China.

Abe made offering to Yasukuni Shrine instead of visiting

Prime Minister Abe choose not visit Yasukuni Shrine. Because Abe hoped to avoid criticism from Asia and warmed relations with China. Abe's predecessor, Junichiro Koizumi, visited the
Yasukuni Shrine every year he was in office, causing severe damage to diplomatic relations with China and South Korea. To mend ties, Abe did not visit Yasukuni Shrine.
I think this Abe's action is natural. Why will it be necessary to do that other countries are angry?I think that he must remove diplomatic friction quickly.
